Mike joined the firm in July 2003.  He has a wide range of experience in civil litigation, including workers’ compensation common pleas court appeals and mandamus actions, employer intentional torts, employment, products liability, and insurance matters.  His special expertise in workers’ compensation finds him regularly engaged before the Industrial Commission of Ohio and Bureau of Workers’ Compensation representing the interests of self-insured and state-funded employers on issues ranging from claim allowance to safety violations.  He is co-author of Quinlan Publishing’s Workers’ Comp – Ohio and is a frequent lecturer on employment-related topics.
 
Mike was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1982.  He is a member of the Cleveland and Ohio Bar Associations and the Self Insurers’ Group of Ohio.
 
Born in Canton, Ohio, he received his B.S.B.A. in Economics from Xavier University in 1978, magna cum laude, and his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1981.
