Bill joined the Firm as a Partner in 2001 after 14 years of practice in the litigation practice group of a large Cleveland, Ohio firm. During his 18 years of experience, Bill has concentrated his practice on civil litigation and trial work. He has first chair jury trial experience representing clients in professional and product liability, securities, contract and trade secret matters in both judicial and arbitration forums.
Bill continues to counsel and represent clients in medical, professional, pharmaceutical and product liability litigation. He also has extensive experience and an active practice in the area of complex commercial litigation. Bill’s complex commercial litigation experience and practice includes the representation of individuals, professionals, financial institutions and other businesses in a variety of matters, including claims based on violations of state and federal predatory lending and consumer laws, breach of trust, partnership or other fiduciary duties, lender liability and retail banking litigation, wrongful discharge, restrictive covenants, real estate disputes, and contract-related matters. Bill appears frequently before both state and federal courts and represents clients before alternative resolution forums, including the NASD.
Born and raised in Mansfield, Ohio, Bill is “AV” rated by Martindale Hubbell. He received his A.B. from Ohio University in 1983 and graduated magna cum laude from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1987 where he also served as an editor of the Cleveland State Law Review.
Bill is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and is also admitted to practice in the State of Indiana, as well as before the United States Court of Federal Claims and United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
