Since his start with Moscarino & Treu in 2003, Sean M. Sweeney has focused on complex medical malpractice and product liability defense litigation. He has successfully obtained defense verdicts in trials involving product liability, catastrophic injury and wrongful death, and he has presented a number of oral arguments at the appellate level.

Sean has advised a wide range of clients, including health systems, hospitals, medical device manufacturers, privately held nursing homes, and physician groups. His individualized, high-quality representation has brought meaningful results to clients, and new assignments to the firm.

Sean received his B.A. from the University of Cincinnati in 1995 and his J.D. from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1999, where he received the Corpus Juris Secundum Award for the highest Torts grade and was a member of the Business Law Association.

Sean was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1999 and has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio since 2000. Sean is also a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.
